	As you drive down to this fantastically designed zoo you soon realize that the zoo is sited in an old quarry! As you drive down to this fantastically designed zoo you soon realize that the zoo is sited in an old quarry! This makes it ideal for a hot, sunny day as there is lots of shade provided by the great variety of trees, bamboo and acacias.

There are more than 500 animals which have lots of space to roam in their enclosures and there are many opportunities to watch the animals being fed and listen to talks throughout the day (although these are only in French). Don’t forget to visit the museum at the far end of the zoo to find out more about the animals, plants and their environments. You can also buy some food to feed the animals when you arrive.

1 day adult entry is €15 and 1 day child (3-10) entry only €9. Or you can buy a 2 adult and 1/2 children entry for a great price of just €95. This fantastic zoo is open from the start of the French February school holidays to the end of the Tousaint holidays in November every day - summer 9:00 to 19:30 and winter 10:00 to 18:30.
